GEEK is a festival of Play and Games. GEEK first launched in February 2012, it is held annually at Winter Gardens Margate, Kent, UK.
People have been coming to this small seaside town to play for over 25 years. GEEK invites them back.
This brings fun and games to the winter months and supports the local economy out of season. People have traveled across the country and even across the ocean to attend GEEK.
GEEK is a place for families and friends to Meet, Make and Play. There are digital and analogue activities for casual and dedicated gamers.
There are over 1000 playable video games to play on hundreds of consoles. Visitors can play from the 1970s to current day or find long lost favourites.
Other activities include board games, workshops, cards, the Cosplay Masquerade, performances, panel discussions, developer talks and tournaments.
The whole festival wrapped up in a full programme of workshops, screenings and talks.
GEEK has something for everyone, whether they want to play and compete, relax and try out something new, learn new skills or get an idea of their dream job using games and technology.
