Travelling from Central London
- Follow A2 to junction with M2 and take right hand lane to join M2 Motorway
- Follow the M2 Motorway to junction 7 and take right hand lane A299 (Thanet Way) signposted Margate, Ramsgate
- At the roundabout take the second exit marked Birchington, Margate (A28)
- Follow the dual carriageway into the single carriageway and past the church just before the traffic lights.
- Follow road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit marked Westgate, Margate.
- Continue along road past King Ethelbert's School and Ursline College.
- Continue along road, travelling over bridge and continuing along road onto Margate Seafront (Marine Terrace)
- Follow road round to the left and past the Galleria Pub.
- Continue straight up the hill past the police station on your right and follow road round.
- You have arrived at the Winter Gardens, Margate.
Travelling from Canterbury
- Follow A28 Canterbury from Chaucer roundabout through Sturry and past (The Black Horse and The Royal Oak public houses) towards Sarre.
- At Sarre mini roundabout follow straight on towards St Nicholas at Wade (junction with A299) and take the 2nd main exit.
- At Birchington mini roundabout turn right following A28.
- Continue along road, travelling over bridge and continuing along road onto Margate Seafront (Marine Terrace)
- Follow road round to the left and past the Galleria Pub.
- Continue straight up the hill past the police station on your right and follow road round.
- You have arrived at the Winter Gardens, Margate.
Travelling from Dover
- A2 to Eastern Docks roundabout and take 2nd main exit (A2) to ascend Jubilee Way. A2 junction with A258 (Duke of York public house), at next roundabout take 2nd exit.
- Follow A256 branching left (signposted Ramsgate, Sandwich) and at roundabout turn right and at following roundabout go forward.
- Follow A256 going forward at the following 2 roundabouts. At next roundabout take 1st exit. Straight over the next 3 roundabouts and follow road past The Sportsman public house to the next double roundabout (Lord of the Manor) junction with A254.
- At the first roundabout take the 1st exit then at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit following the A256 (Haine Road) past Greensole Golf Practice Centre. Straight across at 1st roundabout to Westwood Roundabout.
- At Westwood roundabout take the first exit onto Ramsgate Road (A254), straight across traffic lights (Halfords on left) following the road past the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital to the next set of traffic lights.
- Go straight ahead at the traffic lights and follow road round under the viaduct and towards the seafront.
- Go straight ahead at the mini roundabout and continue round following road to the seafront.
- Take a left at the traffic lights and then turn right at the next set of traffics immediately on turning and follow the road round past the Galleria Pub and up the hill past the police station
- You have arrived at your destination, The Winter Gardens, Margate.
Travelling to Northdown House

Travelling from Central London
Join the A20 from the Clifton's Roundabout, (travelling from Catford) signposted Channel Tunnel.
Follow the A20 until Junction with B2173/M20/M25 (Swanley Interchange)
Join the M2O from Swanley Interchange.
Follow motorway onto the A20 at junction 13, signposted Dover
At the Western Heights roundabout take the 2nd exit signposted Town Centre
Take the 2nd exit at the Limekiln roundabout, and the take the 2nd exit off the Prince of Wales roundabout (signposted Town Centre).
At York Street roundabout taken the 1st exit onto York Street
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Street
Continue straight and you have reached your destination - Biggin Street, Maison Dieu, Dover Town Hall.
Travelling from Canterbury
Follow signs towards Sandwich.
Join the A2 from the A2050 roundabout (The Gate Roundabout)
Continue along the A2, at "Duke of York" roundabout take the 2nd exit and descend Jubilee Way towards Dover Eastern Docks.
At the Eastern Docks Roundabout take the 1st exit onto A20 (signposted London, Channel Tunnel).
At the traffic lights continue forward.
At the York Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Street.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Street
Continue straight and you have reached your destination - Biggin Street, Maison Dieu, Dover Town Hall.
Travelling from Margate
Travelling from Margate go towards the QEQM, continue along until the Westwood roundabout.
Take the 3rd exit off the Westwood roundabout onto Haine Road (A256).
Continue straight along following the road until you reach the double roundabout at the end of the road.
Take the 1st exit off the first roundabout towards Ramsgate and the 2nd exit off the second towards Deal and Dover.
Continue along the A256 and join the A2.
Continue along the A2, at "Duke of York" roundabout take the 2nd exit and descend Jubilee Way towards Dover Eastern Docks.
At the Eastern Docks Roundabout take the 1st exit onto A20 (signposted London, Channel Tunnel).
At the traffic lights continue forward.
At the York Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Street.
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto York Street
